My weekend?
The best.
Driving alone, down the coast, accompanied by some brilliant DMB live trax, courtesy of the lovely Tiffany.
Seeing my crazy plans for my
booth actually come together.
All of the hard work and neglected
emails and laundry paying off.
Seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Being inspired and encouraged.
Shopping.  Did I mention the shopping?
Oh, the shopping.

It was wonderful.  Beautiful.  Fun.  Exhausting.

Thank you Mique and Jess for the thousands of hours of work you put in to each and every detail.

Thank you Jeannett, Lindsey and Courtney for being such great roomies to this very quirky girl.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit and to everyone who shopped from my little 8x4 space crammed full of turquoise and pink.

Now who wants to help me catch up on laundry?

Today's shopping list of supplies for my booth at

The Queen Bee Market

Lots of wood
Furring strips
Sandpaper
Cement mix
Five cans of spray paint.  Turquoise, obvs.
Shelf pins
Shelves
Eye hooks
Pom pom fringe
Five pounds of coffee
Curling iron
Falsies Mascara
Double sided tape
Green tea

I feel like MacGyver.  Or more like MacGruber.

One week to get it all together.
Thus the five pounds of coffee.

You know the people.
The people who are done with their holiday shopping and crafting already.
Who laugh at those of us who are not.
Who enjoy free time come December.
I am not that girl.
Every year I try.
I make a plan, set goals, make promises.
THIS WILL BE THE YEAR!!!!
My shopping will be done before Thanksgiving.
My December will be peaceful.
We will sit nightly by the tree, sipping hot cocoa and singing Christmas Carols.
But life gets in the way.
It may never happen.
Or it just might.
That remains to be seen.
Sixty Five Days.
Are you ready?
But before I can even think Christmas, I am thinking about crazy craft fair season.
Right now my house smells like paint, sawdust and Mod Podge.
I have more signs than I can count, all just nearly finished.
I can't see my dining room table.
I have hardly slept all week.
That is what happens when you aren't an early bird.

But what if you want to be one?
Feel like coming to take some signs off of my hands?

Live in my hood?

Come visit my sawdusty self..
Check some things off of your list.

Thursday, October 21st
(Where I plan on spending every dollar I make at the 31 Bits booth.)

Saturday, November 6th
(Where you might as well make your checks out to Leslie and Shauna's Tibit, because that is where I am shopping.)

Friday and Saturday November 12th-13th
Del Mar, CA
(Way too many rad vendors to even begin to list...)

For now I have a date with a whole mess of paint.

A journey starts with a single step, right?
Does a craft fair booth start with a single item?
I am really hoping so.

I am crazy excited to be a part of what is sure to be a handmade fabulous day.
Mique of 30 Handmade Days and Jessica of Allora Handmade are hosting The Queen Bee Market, and I simply cannot wait.

To shop,
to meet the other fabulous vendors,
to shop,
and to shop.
Maybe sell a thing or two while I am at it.
You know, to justify the shopping.

But to sell anything, first I have to make something.
Anything.
So today, I sat down while my boyfriend sang to me, and created item numero uno.

In my crazy mind it is the first of many.
But my crazy mind does not always match up with my crazy reality.
Either way, I suggest you mark your calendars for May 1st.
Come and shop with me.
It is going to be brilliant.
The question is, will my booth is overflowing with handmade happiness, or rolling with tumbleweeds?
That remains to be seen.

Yesterday's craft fair was a grand success.
Crazy.
I did not expect it to be.
Silly economy.

I attribute it all to this crazy cute apron that my mom sweetly made for me.
(She is a way better seamstress than I could ever hope to be.)
Can you even handle the fabric?  It is ridiculous!

As well as this gorgeous pin from Tracy B.
I adore it.
It is scrappy happiness.

So, I sold enough of these...

To buy this carrier of all things happy.

Weird thing...
since when does Coach throw a sheet on a table
at a random craft fair and sell their purses for 95% off?

Oh, they don't.
But it's a pretty sweet knockoff, don't you think?

Hey, I'm from Orange County.  Aren't we supposed to be all about the fake?

As for the goodies that didn't go to my fake Coach fund...

look for
new pins
headbands
mousepads
compostition book covers
and signs
to pop up in the shop this week.

is my specialty.
As much as I wish It wasn't.
It always has been, and probably always will be.

Alicia and I are selling at a craft fair this weekend.

Currently I have nothing to sell.

Perhaps it is because I am fighting an awesome cold,
and am stinking of garlic.

But mostly it is because I am up to my eyeballs in partially finished items.
That I should have started on weeks and weeks ago.

So, if you live in Orange County please come
by our possibly sparse booth and
perhaps bring me Starbucks
(Alicia prefers Coffee Bean).

Email me for details and my drink order.

Off to sew.

Seriously, bring me coffee.  Seriously.
