Meet the cast of characters.
Fresh from the land of Oz.
Glinda the Good Witch.
Beautifully made by my mom.
Dorothy and her black lab, Toto.
Lovingly made by my mom and worn by Halley in 2008.
Baby Munchkin.
Mass produced by Target.
It's hard out there for a munchkin.
I'm not going to lie.
I pretty much want to dress her in this
every single day of her young life.

Having a bad day?
Put your kid in a munchkin costume.
Your troubles melt like lemondrops.
Ding dong.
It's candy time.
Just like that, they are off to see the wizard.
The wonderful wizard of Oz.
Mainly because they heard he has candy.

  47. Can I just say that I love this post... love it. I think the best picture was of your gnome baby sitting eating her snack. It's a great shot! I was Glinda last year for a wizard of oz costume party... we pretty much made the same hat. I wish I could send you the picture. You'd pretty much die!

  48. The Wizard of Oz theme was too cute. I need a munchkin though! My 8 and 5 year olds would have nothing to do with dressing in anything remotely theme like. Sigh. I tried. Begged. Pleaded. But oh no. So we had an Upside down guy and a Skeleton princess. I guess I could have gone with a Freak Show/Carnival theme but it didn't have the same cachet as Oz. Maybe I'll have better lucks next year. Also, big thanks for the T-shirt dress tutorial. I am a pathetic sewer at best but may be able to manage this. I'll let ya know. Happy, happy Friday!

i totally snorted (again) looking at that picture of her sitting with her snack. too much!
