is too busy to notice that
her sweet and easygoing
baby girl fell asleep in her exersaucer?
Photobucket
the kind with way too much going on.
who is trying to do too many things.
who somehow was blessed with a daughter
who needs nothing more than a blanket and her
thumb to drift off into dream land.

I need to take more time to snuggle with her.
not because she needs it,
but because I need it.

I will never get this time back.

  2. Good for you to realize this! I can't tell you how many moms I have heard say, "I wish I could go back" or "I would have been more "present" if I could do it again".

This time comes one time. We must slow down...I need to remember that.

  3. i know exactly what you mean... these little girls grow so fast! now that our baby has turned one, i am left wondering exactly where all those months went!

  4. AWWWWW!!! How cute is she?!! What a doll baby!!

I am right there with you on taking the time to snuggle. I get so wrapped up in the day to day and then the projects I want to complete that I lose sight of the fact that my kids are growing up before my very eyes. Time FLIES!!

  5. oh Julie. I feel the same way. Although I did it backwards. My oldest always fell asleep on the floor, in the swing... It took ee 2 more tries to realize they grow WAY to fast so I always take time out to snuggle Ellie.

  6. I was thinking the same thing. I have an 11 year old and a 3 week old. I was snuggling the baby last week thinking of all the times my first son would be on the couch alone and turn to my and say "Momma will you snuggle me" and I would always say "Later sweetie, mommy is busy" and later never came.

He's now too big to snuggle, hates kisses, and barely says "I love you" back to me, and it breaks my heart. If I could go back I would ahve snuggled him every time, but I can't go back.

  12. What a sweet, sweet picture. Leila's fallen asleep in the exersaucer a time or two, which always made me feel a little bit badly, but not so bad that I wouldn't snap a picture or two ; )

People always say to cherish the time when they're little because it goes so quickly, and man are they right! As long as you realize this, and get in some extra snuggles you're good! You have a wonderful family!

  19. Oh I could just kiss her little sweet cheeks. I used to rock my baby brother and sister to sleep and the only way they could fall asleep is if I hummed to them a little tune. Although my baby sister is deaf, the vibration she felt always put her to asleep. Why can't they stay babies forever!!! I miss that time! Have a great evening.
