1. The past two weeks has been a glorious whirlwind.
So much love, support and prayer.  I am packed, but I am not ready.  I suppose you are never really ready, and I love that about God.

2.  Armed with prayer and Xanax I am going to survive the flights, and arrive in Nairobi joyful and willing to do whatever He calls me to.

3.  In the scurrying I haven't picked a winner of the world pallet sign.
I will do that when I get back.  Promise.  Thank you so very much for each and every one of you that bought a print.  I hope that those little bits of love are encouragement on your walls.

4.  My friends sent me off with a stack of cards to open each day while I am gone.  And they are bringing meals to Jason and the kids.  Did I mention how much I love them?

 5.  I had to get a tetanus shot.  That was hideous.  Then I googled how long the pain will last.  That was a mistake.  Never google things.

6.  These maxi skirts are going to be my uniform for the week.  They are super soft and not very maxi, perfect for short girl problems.

7.  Unroll Me is one of the best things I have ever done to my prevoiusly out of control inbox.  You don't even want to know how out of control it was.  It will keep it clean and under control when I am away.  The best.

8.  Jenni.  She is basically one of the kindest, most generous people that I know.
9.  Kate.  I was so blessed meeting her at Choose Joy (more on that heartbreaking, hopeful, weekend later) and sweet Andrea bought me this necklace that I treasure.

10.  Leaving them will be so hard.  I have never been gone this long, or this far.  So thankful for FaceTime.  While I dream of being Amish at times, this is a time I am so glad that I am not.

11.  With that I am off.  Thank you for loving, supporting, and sending.

The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing
and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands."

Love to you as you take this journey, sweet Julie. As one who now travels every summer to foreign lands, I know how it can be scary-to go to new places, to leave your children, etc... But perfect peace comes over you when you're in God's perfect will(I can attest as we've faced everything from earthquakes to being broken down on the side of the road when no one will stop to help). Remember...God sees you right where you're at. Rest in Him and have the journey of a lifetime! We cant wait to hear all about it whenever you're able to update us:)

  4. Oh friend! Praying for you!! Remember, if He's calling you to other side, He's not going to leave you in the boat in the middle of the storm ... He does SEE YOU and He WILL SEE YOU THROUGH to the other side. You are going to come out of this SO richly blessed!! XOXO
