My Fitness Pal.  I fought it forever.  Then gave in.  If you need an easy way to track your food and exercise, it's pretty amazing.  (I use the app on my phone.) I don't follow people, or let anyone follow me.  But it does for sure keep me on track better than anything that I have ever tried.  It also ruins my life when I type in Pork Salad from Cafe Rio.  Jerk.

Three more days of school.

Worth mentioning again- three more days of school!!!!!!!!!

Date night tomorrow.  Yessssssssssssss.

This skirt from Old Navy.  I do not love that it wasn't on sale.  It didn't come home with me.  Sad face.

I do not like how this little beastly creature, thinks it is okay to go slithering on his tummy ALL OVER THE HOUSE.  Like a crazed, danger and destruction seeking, viper.  We have never had to baby proof before.  Are all boys like this?  It is stressing me out. Oh, and he is a bottomless pit at meal times too...

I want everything in this shop.  Boots N Gus you are KILLING ME.

This one too.  Fancy That Design House, I love your guts.

This mustard seed necklace from Little Bird Creations speaks to my heart in this season.

I had to get this print.  Obviously.  I want one of every other one too.  Pen & Paint is rad.

The viper has a birthday coming up.  WHAT THE HECK???????  Starting to plan a little beach bash.  How cute are these invites?  It makes the trauma of him turning one a little easier.  Not really.

Cannot handle how these people pull off this song.  Skillz and genius.  Nor can I handle how many hours they had to stand in such close proximity to each other while perfecting it.  Stressing.

THREE MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL.
We are going to Jr. High and High School camp as a family this year.  That should be an adventure.

Pinterest is TORTURE to this no-sugar June.  So bad.  Like I might need to have a no-Pinterest June to go along with it.  Torture.  Pretty rude how I posted a dessert in the middle of my torture.  I am adding to the problem that I hate.  Vicious circle I tell you.

I still have a super simple blueberry monkey bread recipe in the works.  But I have to make it to post it, and I don't think that I can make it without eating it.

What are you loving and not so much?

Three more days, yo!

  12. Im thinking you could totally pull off your own DIY version of those mason jar lights. Do it!
What Im loving? Being off of school with the girls, making summer reading incentives for them and preparing for our trip to Central America.
What Im not loving? That Eric is still in school until the last week of June, that our beloved Pastor passed away yesterday, and that 4 days after we get home from our missions trip the girls and I start back to school. It feels like the summer is already over and its really just beginning.

  14. i love me some myfitnesspal. the only exception is that i do not like the way it adds calories onto your available total when you log exercise. the only way to combat this is to add the exercise to strength training, but that's not much fun either. so i just don't log my exercise and use it strictly for the calories. :)

my loves: vbs preschool music, farkle on facebook (ridiculous obsession), my daughter's answer to the question of "what does the froggy say?" "BIBBIT!" (she's 23 months. and number 4, aka number last. which is what i don't love.)

  16. I have two boys and HAD to baby proof; they even try their best to make the baby proofed stuff dangerous! They are thrill seekers those little men...have you read Wild At Heart? Helped me understand my little men a little bit more, and my hubby, too. Would highly recommend that book and baby-proofing. Get ready, my boys never really walked...just ran...everywhere and all the time! Maybe you can add that in on MyFitness and it could cancel out the sugar! ;)

  17. Going to see them perform tonight! Pretty excited to see what they have in store.

  18. Ok, you crack me up....this post made me smile while I'm at stupid lame workplace today. And Shane, I'm warning you know...my son was JUST like that. He was climbing furniture at 14 months and trying to escape from the house. We had to tie, yes, TIE our chairs to the kitchen table because he kept moving them to use as ladders for evil. I used to call him baby evil. Boys are very entertaining and so different from girls. And Pen and Paints...I love. I have a camera print that I bought from her recently that I need to frame.

  19. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with myfitnesspal. Love how easy it is to keep track of meals & snacks, hate it because I often go over the calorie limit. =\

  20. I snagged that verse print as soon as I saw it. It's the verse we are learning at our worship arts camp this week and it goes perfect-o with my house! So glad you shared it with us.

  30. Angry Julie Monday and I have the same type of boys - I spent six months locking my kitchen chairs in a spare bedroom after breakfast each morning because I'd find my 13 month old swinging from my kitchen table light fixture. He's 4 now, and we still have three locks on every door, 5 ft. tall plexiglass covering our upstairs railings, and have removed all of the cranks from our casement windows. My sister has four girls and scratches her head - she's never needed so much as an outlet cover!
