Some random facts to fill your day...

1.  In the winter I have really, really, really dry skin.  Like the kind that makes me want to cry, peel it all off, or attack it with a metal rake.  I don't know how I would make it if I actually lived in a climate with real brutal and cold weather.  I'd have to invent a humidifier cardigan or something.

2.  I am not a big fan of my earlobes.  Silly and trivial, I know, but we all have some irrational body issue, right?  Anyway, because of such issue, I never, ever, ever wear earrings.  Ever.  I admire and appreciate earrings, but just didn't think they were for me.  Sweet Heather from Angel Face Designs set out to cure me with these aqua beauties.  Guess what?  I have been wearing them everyday and THEY ARE FABULOUS.  Who needs therapy when you have friends like Heather?

3.  This kid turned two.  I don't like it. Not one little bit.  So if you want to remain my friend, indulge me and say totally irrational things.  Like, "what is she now?  Ten months?" Or "my, how little and so very baby-ish she is!"  Denial is just a river in Egypt.

4.  Food coloring stresses me out.  Seriously.  Stresses me.  I wish I could be more fun and chill about it, but I just can't.  Crunchy Cheetos and M&M's are the only exceptions.  But if the M&M's were all brown, and the Cheetos less flourescent, I would like them a lot more.  Fruit punch?  Frosting?  Jello?  OVER THE EDGE.  At kid's birthday parties?  I need to go outside and take deep breaths.  Not normal.  At all.

5.  If you are named Jason, and perhaps married to me, and in search of a very special gift that I really, really, really want, look no further.
I love this.  I would love to wear this.  Because we are so dang cute.  It is so dang cute.
Pretty please and thank you!

6.  How about another sneaky peek from Drew B?
Awwwwwwww!!!  I sort of like us.  A lot a lot a lot.

  1. the brown m&m's remind me of the wedding planner when Matthew Mchottie will only eat the brown ones! love it. and bald baby doesn't look at all like she could be two. you might need a re-count! ;)

  2. She is not allowed to be 2. Not allowed. She's still all baby to me. And with very little hair it makes it easier to pretend that our sweet little ones who are growing much to fast are still our babies.

Love that picture of you and Jason. So beautiful and sweet. And totally love that yellow jacket, perfection.

  3. You're #1 is #1 in my "dislikes" list of winter time. I pile on the "Lay it on Thick" from Bath & Body works. I have the shower cream and the body lotion. I also indulge every other day w/ their "Need a Margarita" body scrub. I don't drink, but the smell reminds me of summer. And I don't like heavy perfumes and these are light, clean scents....

    No, I don't work for B&Bworks... but I wish I did! :o)

Oh and your BABY is adorable!! Such a tiny, cute thing!

  6. I have ridiculous dry skin as well. And live in a cold climate. My dermatologist tells me that you must apply really good lotion (she recommends cetaphil cream, totally worth the high price tag for, say lotion)within 3 mins of getting out of the shower. Otherwise you shouldn't even bother. Thus concludes my dry skin tip of the day.

  9. 1. in the winter, my skin is actually at its happiest. weird. but true. I have a mild case of aquagenic dermatitis. (there's a fun one to google...) I hate humidity. And, I've lived in Florida all my life ... so - not much of a help.

    2. I don't even have piereced ears. My fear of needles is *that extreme*

    3. I know they say this about every age... but 2 ... that's a "big year" - quite a milestone, there, Little Miss!

    4. You are so right about the food coloring ... why can't everything follow Sensitive Skin detergents' lead? No dyes. No problems.

    5. Yep. That necklace is pretty much AMAZING. #teamnecklace

    6. Woohoo for Drew! and ... for the 2 of you :)

  17. Have you tried natural cheetos? I know there can't be anything natural about them but they aren't flourescent. I am not allowed to buy them. And I had no idea your hair was so long.... gorgeous!

  20. 1. I work basically outside during the winter. My hands were BAD. What's now working for me is nivea creme in normal doses throughout the (non-work) day and a heavy dose covered with night-gloves while sleeping.

    2. LOVE the earrings!

    3. Your baby is too cute!

  22. Your sweet baby is adorable . . . how old is she now . . . about 8 months? ;)
I have dry skin, too. the BEST thing is Aveeno . . . the thick stuff, not in a pump, in the tube that you squeeze. Unscented . . . it is so comforting and heals your skin sooo quickly.

  29. I have the same issue with food coloring. I am a nut! Completely crazed at VBS, Sunday School snacks, etc. I get it and it's okay! Also, for the dry skin, if you want an idea to help that will remind you of being in Hawaii, or dreaming of being in Hawaii, try rubbing coconut oil all over your body. A.MAY.ZING!! Your honey will want gobble you right up and you will feel like it is summer!

  30. food coloring freaks me out too.

i called m&m a gazillion times in 1994 when they were giving us a vote on the new colors. i wanted them to keep the tan colored m&m. i boycott the red and blue ones...unless i am desperate for chocolate.

2! she looks like she is only 16 months...really.

    sweet picture.

  32. I feel ya on the earlobes....my weird body thing, my oblong ears. They are long and skinny. So earrings, unless really small or dangly look like a little girl wearing her moms shoes...if that makes any sense...in an ear kind of way.

  33. Number five totally made me crack up. Why have I never posted blatant present pointers on my blog before? Duh. I just woke up to how wonderful this could be for me. :)

  36. Hi,
Sorry you're suffering with dry itchy skin.....maybe I can help: skin that itches that intensely - either your hair-removal method isn't agreeing with you (will need to change to SHAVING with the direction of growth not against)...
OR, it could be a NERVOUS problem! Next time the itching begins, try using one of your fav calming tea/herbal meds/hot cocoa drink...(rescue remedy). :-)
