Hi.

I am back from vacation.  Bet you didn't even know I was gone....
After a week in the mountains and the inevitable recovery that being away from home brings, I want to give away a pound of my favorite coffee from Starbucks for two reasons.
1.  I scheduled posts to appear while I was away to trick would be robbers from visiting my neighborhood.  The problem with planning posts ahead is I feel they weren't as crafty or purposeful as my normal daily ones.  I hope the coffee will make up for them.  Especially yesterday's.
2.  I have had three very traumatic coffee experiences in a row.  First I mistakenly thought an iced coffee from McDonald's would be a good idea.  It wasn't.  Second, on the 8th hour of sitting in the van with tired, grumpy, non-napping children, I miraculously found a drive-thru Starbucks, got my usual, foolishly got back on the freeway in hideous L.A. traffic before tasting it.  $3 poison.  Really wanted to throw it out the window.  Didn't want to get shot.  Lastly, I was literally falling asleep grocery shopping when I got home, went to the in-store Starbucks to wake myself up, was told:  "Our expresso machine is broken.  We have decaf drip if you would like."  No.  I would not like.  So, to redeem the previous not-awesomeness I will extend love in the form of free coffee.
Just leave me a comment.  About anything.  I will pick a winner on Tuesday.
P.S.  I would love to send you ice cream, but I don't think it would make it....

  3. I was in a Starbucks the other day and their espresso machine was broken, too....Maybe they were conspiring against us! Starbucks with a broken espresso machine is like the ice cream truck being out of ice cream!

  5. Welcome back! We missed you!

I had a little extra money and treated myself the other day at Target. Right after that visit we went to the beach club to meet friends. Having a son that does not stop, I immediately ran to the water leaving my blended in the cup holder of the stroller. When I came back...it was BOILING! YUCK! Waste of $4 bucks....SO SAD!

  7. When I'm lucky enough to see a drive-thru Starbucks, I always stop! So far I've never had anything awful, but drive-thru is drive-thru right? It's sure to happen eventually... and I am so jealous of all your Targets! I have to drive 44 miles for one.

  9. Love that picture!! Too cute! Sorry to hear about your coffee misfortunes...I myself am not a coffee drinker (so don't enter me in the giveaway!!), but I can understand your frustration!

I hope you had a wonderful trip! Be sure to share a picture or two when you have a moment! Believe me, I know how long it takes to get unpacked, laundry done and put away and back into the swing of things!

    Have a great night!

  13. I HATE it when I have terrible coffee experiences. You wait in line smelling the wonderful aroma, you carefully pick what you are going to have, you watch them make that delectable treat, your fork over the $4, you go to sip and try to cherish that first taste, and BLACH...how rude!!!
I am so very sorry for your yucky coffee experiences! I've never bought Starbucks coffee to brew in my home! This would be a fun treat! Crossing my fingers!

  14. I agree...there is nothing worse than having spent $4.00 on a special yummyness coffee, only to have it be YUCKY instead....a waste!...argh!...I do think your posting idea to ward off intruders while you were on vacation is a stellar idea, tho....but, a shame we need to have to think that way....glad you are back......creative blessings, Debbie/StudioBeeCreations
