The plague of 2011 finally left our house.

Went out to dinner and saw a movie with my man.

It snowed.

I survived a rainy Saturday afternoon birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
Made Salted Caramel Cupcakes which is so much easier thanks to this yummy sauce.

Barely held it together while packing up the last of the 18-24 month clothes.
Performed life saving, and meltdown halting, limb reattachment surgery on a treasured family pet.

Took a nap.
Dropped a piano on my foot.  Yes, it's little, but it HURT.

Installed Apple TV, which I still don't know what it does, but I know I love it.
By installed, I mean our computer wizard friends installed it for us.  (Thanks Sam and Brandon!)
Grabbed dinner at Cafe Rio, by myself, in the rain, wearing flip flops, at the granny hour of 4:30.

How was your weekend?

  1. My husband and I spent Saturday in Disneyland and drove home yesterday. We got soaked watching World of Color on Saturday night, but it was so worth it!

i had a blast this weekend shopping with my mommy. my parents don't come visit often, but when they do, it's just the best thing ever.
i think i'll always want them to be proud of me, my husband, and the life we've made.
    they brought cake, too!
    glad you're all feelin' better.

  8. your weekend sounds very nice! mine consisted of digital scrapbooking where I got about 1 page done, had a major kink in my neck/back and a headache that would not go away. followed by my 7 month old crying the whole night like he was two days old!

  17. Love love love the apple TV. We stream netflix witch is pretty cool. My kids like viewing our pictures and home movies on the big TV. We usually buy the blu ray 3 copy version of movies (blu ray, dvd, & digital copy). I put the digital copies on my computer. When the kids want to watch a movie all it takes is a click on the computer. That sounds so lazy ... geez. It is awesome though.

  21. No Trader Joe's (though one will be opening in our city this year!). No sun. Still, a lovely weekend with the fam. (And we survived our 4 year-old's 1st time ice skating with all teeth and bones intact!)

Have a happy, happy day. :)

  22. Isn't this weather cuckoo? There was snow covering the mountains (hills?) around my house all weekend, and it has been freeeeeeezing! It's supposed to be worse this weekend, and it might actually snow in Livermore. Nuts, I tell ya!

Went to kids parties last weekend. Blech!

Glad everyone is feeling better. And I bawled - full on ugly cry putting away Gianna's 6 - 12 months clothes. I am in complete denial that she'll be one in a couple weeks. Tearing up again....
