Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
 {Cammy. a.k.a Capulet)
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star cross'd lovers take their life.
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents strife.
{Mac.  a.k.a. Montague}
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
A bitter blood feud is taking place in my very own Verona.
Capulet vs. Montague.
Camera vs. Mac.
Star cross'd electronics.
Causing each other pain.  Violence. Crashing.  Endless rainbow wheel.
It's exhausting.  Tybalt and Mercutio need to CHILL OUT with the plague on both their houses!!!!

But until they strive to mend, or I take Mac Montague to Father Laurence at the Apple store, I am stuck with a memory card holding images hostage, and no recourse but taking new ones with but my phone.
It is although freeing up time to sit and watch my favorite two hours' traffic of stage.
Art + music + literature = genius.

  1. sounds like a tragedy. Do you connect your camera directly to your mac or use a card reader? I'm a fan of card readers. Do you have another card you could try? Memory cards are more affordable than ever, especially if you buy smaller like 8 Gb or so.

  2. Such a good movie! OHHHH.. don't get me started! And that song and scene when they first meet gets me every time!!

Good luck with the computer problems!

    Kind Regards,

  3. I heart heart heart that version of Romeo and Juliet. First movie I saw with my hubby. But, I don't heart computer and camera showdowns. I hope it gets all fixed up soon!

  4. My 8 year old son was just talking about Romeo and Juliet! He apparently downloaded an awful version on netflix...Romeo and Juliet were seals! LOL But, hey, he's learning literature, guess I can't complain too much.

  5. I feel your pain, in a way that I can not properly express. I just dropped my external hard drive which holds every photo that I have taken in the last year and a half on the floor. Gone, in an instant. My files are unaccessable, and my only prayer is finding a tech guy who can work some divine miracle and retrieve them from my mangled hard drive. I am heartbroken. So I do indeed feel your pain. In the worst way.

  6. i love that movie! sorry about your dilemma though! :(

  7. Wow... That was really dramatic. And I loved it.

  8. i am an 8th grade literature teacher and teach r&j 4th quarter, it is seriously what keeps me teaching every year...and this movie, ugh! I LOVE IT!

    Enjoy your free time!!!!

  9. Of course your amazing mind can correlate your Mac/Canon fight with Romeo+Juliet. Awesomesauce.

  10. Ugh! I hate the rainbow wheel! And it makes me mad that it is a rainbow because I love rainbows and I hate that wheel!

  11. Oh hilarious. I love how you've done the compare with your computer and camera. I'm still giggling with glee! And such a great movie too, by the way... x

  12. oooh, i haven't seen that in so long. i love that version!!!

  13. I love it!

Ok.... I"m sorry that you are having computer/camera relationship issues!

However, I love the R&J you added in!

I saw the pic of the camera and almost scrolled past your post. Then I read what Blogger puts on the Dashboard (the first 2-3 lines) and I couldn't help but come in!

I am an English teacher and I just LOVE when people use literature outside of school! I can tell my students " day you WILL use this!" :)

  14. Oh bummer. Sounds like a pain in the butt! The writing though is beautiful and I love that movie too!!
I also think Ever After with Drew Barrymore is great too!
Hope it gets easier to get your pictures back!

  15. Love the movie and all shakespeare in general, always. and now my kids totally want to go see the new movie Gnomeo and Juliet. have you see the trailers?? super funny. the clashing of two families of garden gnomes.

  16. then again, anything with leo from those days stole my heart away and then you add claire to the mix and ah, heaven. i think I saw that movie 3 times in the theater the week in came out. with 3 different groups of people no doubt :)

  17. Shakespeare would be so proud!

Never have I seen a more accurate depiction of tech meltdown.

  18. I love this movie!!! Love your blog

  19. you are HILARIOUS!!!! ha ha! that stupid rainbow wheel!!! darn it! i don't see it too often (not like i did the stupid hourglass when i had a PC... YAY FOR MACS!!) but it's still annoying none the less. hope you get it worked out soon enough.
