  12. The photos are beautiful. I hope you and your family have had a wonderful day celebrating Jesus. My 23 year old celebrated opening gifts in her Supertones black tie T-shirt and I thought of you (and your husband, I guess).

When looking at these photos I was drawn to the BIG Bible verse above the mantle. Where did you find that? I love it!
    Thanks for sharing.

  13. Such fun!! those peacock feathers reminded me of something that one of the teachers talked about during an elementary chapel service a while back. (your girls might like to try this!)
    *
Have them try to balance a peacock feather on their finger. (they will most likely focus by looking intently at their finger) ... but, ultimately - balancing it will seem impossible.

Now, suggest that they look at the "eye" of the feather (at the top) instead of at their finger while trying to balance it. (It will work!)

Reminds us to keep our eye on Christ - and he will steady/'balance' us...If we simply keep our eyes/focus on ourselves - our lives loose stability.

We now have a few peacock feathers in my kinder. class - and the kids keep asking me if they can balance the feather. (so cute to watch them!) :)
