Charla left me one of my favorite comment of the week.  Because it is so true.

I am random.  My life is random.  Therefore my blog is random.  Thanks for enduring the random.  At times I honestly find myself and my randomness exhausting.

If your computer is near your sleeping kids' room...
do not click here.
If you have the freedom to nearly pee your pants laughing, click away.
{Thanks Lindsey.}

Bald baby has outgrown baby food, but part of me wants her to gobble up a few dozen jars of peas just so I can make this.  Adore.

I want this.  Bad.  I want cupcakes.  Bad.  I am trying to give up sugar.  It lasted about ten minutes.

Working on a simple solution for my super popular kids' endless birthday invitations.

Bought something fancy to make French Fry Pizza.
You heard me.
French Fry Pizza.

This guy has the best job in the world.
The entire world.
He is the magic behind Anthropologie's found items.
I am obsessed with his show.  I am catching up on last season's episodes, so many of the items that he finds are already in stores or the current catalog.
Like this bed.  Dreamy.  Especially if it goes on sale for 99% off.
It is so fun and nerdy to know the future product names of things in my mind as he finds them.  Brilliant.

That wraps up a whole week of random.  But don't fret.  There is always more around the corner.

  2. You can make the lights, even though your daughter doesn't want to eat baby food. Buy the vegetables and add them to a favorite recipe (I use them in spaghetti). Especially if you have little ones who don't like veggies. This is a GREAT way to "hide" veggies! Enjoy!

  5. I'm glad this post was about being random...otherwise this comment would just be (more) awkward. I had a dream about you the other night. I saw your cute little baby and I ran up to you and told you I read your blog. I had on a turquoise shirt and you said, "Then you know I love your shirt!".

    The end.

  22. I was wondering where all this new blog traffic was coming from and I followed it here! I'm so glad I did. Thanks for liking the jar love. It's really an easy project and will take about an hour to accomplish, or about a month if you have a toddler. I'm a new subscriber (:

  25. I just love you Julie. Your random is one of your greatest gifts. I like to think we all have some randomness in us. It is what makes us unique. You have the best kind. Just saying. You make me happy reading all your happiness. You just make me happy in general. You are what happiness is about. Infact, if I had to pick a word for you it would be happy. You always seem to be happy or find the happiness in others AND you always seem to make all us readers happy. Maybe that is really your greatest gift.

  30. Okay, so I know you don't know who I am. I am a mom of 4 from Utah and I check your blog regularly. I came upon your blog by accident quite a while ago and am always impressed with your talent and creativity. On top of that, you remind me of myself and you make me laugh. (Did that just make me sound like I think I'm funny or what?) I love the random posts and stories. Keep 'em coming. Anyway, I thought the cat story you posted was so funny that I posted it on my own blog. If you're ever bored or want to prove to yourself that there is someone quirkier and more random than you, come take a glimpse of my life at www.squeaky-poo.blogspot.com.

    Sincerely, Emily Rigby

  31. See, I don't think you're that random. Does that make ME random?? :) On facebook when that whole "25 random things about you" craze swept through, my number one was, "Random is one of my favorite words." :D

  32. I love the randomness too - it keeps me coming back to see what else you are up to! I did click on the link and just burned a few hundred calories laughing so hard I cried. Thank you for the inspiration!

  33. I wasn't sure where to post this random comment, so the random post seems to fit. I just want to let you know that your West Coast style has inspired my East Coast home.

My house is an itty bitty ranch built in 1984 and when we bought it in 2007 it was pretty much original to 1984, complete with hunting scene wood paneling in the living room.

I have started in the kitchen with your inspiration with white trim and fabulous hand made curtains that have turquois lotus blossoms on them. Soon more white trim paint will be purchased to "fix" the rest of the house and hopefully I'll be able to find the perfect shade of turquois for the kitchen!

Our electrical panel is so quaintly positioned next to the front door in all it's grey metal glory... I'm thinking it needs to be transformed into a chalk board!

Thank you!!! My house will no longer be stuck in the 80's!

  34. I'm anxious to see what you do with the cork, I have a pile of those laying around ;)
