swimming in suits

in the morning we swim.
in the afternoon there is swim lessons.

in the evening we swim.
(or sit in drink coolers...
because in Lulu's world, that is normal.)

which means at any given time there is at least 10 bathing suits that need drying.

so in the spirit of cuteness + storage + spend no money,
I took twine, a staple gun and clothespins.

all of a sudden I don't hate my
almond colored,
crummy plastic,
built in the 1970's
shower enclosure nearly as much.

off to swim
and add to the clothesline.

I love it Julie! It looks like a picture you should frame and add to the bathroom to get you through those drab winter months (wait, do you have those in sunny California?!?!) ;).

Happy Day!

Fab idea! Love it. Having to wash the swim suits every day is one of my biggest summer complaints.

And why don't my rolls look that cute in my swimsuit?

What a great idea. I always hang them over the shower rod but can't get near as many on there and they don't dry as well because they seem to get all balled up! Thanks!

Wow your bathroom is pretty. LOVE that idea! I always have a load of suits in the dryer. Maybe that is why they are all ruined by the end of the summer.

Just my luck -whenever I see something cute it was purchased last year or years ago.
As for the pattern (I prefer old patterns - they work better for me) it is Simplicity 3807 I think published in the 1950's. It is the pinafore (I used the same pattern for her Easter Dress). You will have to let me know if you find any to die for patterns, try Etsy. I have sewn a few others and the pictures are on my site.

Here is my favorite old pattern I made. http://micahcmicahdo.blogspot.com/2009/06/little-girl-ruffles.html

BRILLIANT! We have a pool and swim a lot as well and I still (we've had this house with this pool 3 years now) hadn't figured out how to hang up swim suits in the house! Thanks for the brilliant idea, I will be stealing it, I promise. :-)
Oh, and I love your super cute bright bathroom too. :-D
