Tomorrow we are going to a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party.  With my love all of things Gabba, how in the world could I obey their request for "no gifts please"?  She's turning one!  She needs a Brobee dress right? Am I horrible for ignoring the rules?  What would you do?
For all of you who have a Hobby Lobby in their state, I am jealous.  I had to get this HobLob fabric from an Etsy seller who is smart enough to make a profit off of sad California people such as myself who can't just pop over to one.  But then again, we do have In N Out burger and nobody can mail you one of those.  I guess I'll live.
(Besides there is a rumor going around that a Sonic will be opening by my house soon.  Take that Hobby Lobby shoppers!!!)

  5. You are so cute....that dress is adorable. Though I have to say I have never heard of "Brobee" until your blog. I wonder if that is just a western thing or we are just not up early enough. The little girl and her mom will love it. That would be like giving my daughter something Tigger/Pooh. Have fun at the party!!

  8. Thanks for visiting my blog! You have an amazing blog. I could lose track of time browsing around on here. Love the pictures and all of your fabrics.

I would take the dress to the party. I'm sure her mommy just didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of new toys. Adorable handmade dresses are always the exception!

  11. I love the new banner! I would so ignore the request! Although to be polite, I would wait until other guests are busy or leaving before giving it to her... maybe even getting there before hand if possible? (just in case she takes offense to it) I love that dress!!! So cute!!!!

  12. LOVE the dress although that show scares me for some reason... my kids love it but I can't watch it -something super creepy about it. I do "no gift" birthdays a lot for my kids because we have so much STUFF but I always have an alternative though such as writing a letter for my son to open on his 18th birthday or bring a superhero action figure to trade so everyone gets a gift - I never had a problem with people ignoring the request though... of course neither did the kids :)

  13. No Hobby Lobby. No In-And-Out. I feel pathetic. Just kidding (about the pathetic part). We don't have either one, but I love them both.

Cute dress. And no, you're not breaking the rules. Who said it was a birthday present? Maybe it's just a gift of love that you happen to be sharing on her birtday???

  14. I feel your pain with being Hobby Lobbyless. haha Whenever I visit my family in Utah I go there at least 2x. Their fabric prices are unbeatable! (well, most of their prices are unbeatable. Especially with their frequent coupons. Oh my, I really wish they'd open one by me!!! and you too.)

  16. very cute dress. i never thought about the hobby lobby/in'n'out dichotomy. I never even knew what Hobby Lobby was until I moved to CO, but I"m super excited to move back to CA, the land of In'n'Out AND Trader Joe's! I think CA wins! But I will miss HobLob!!
