May was my fave.

Ever have those months that are just so dang hard?
Not necessarily all big and traumatic.
But just sort of tough.
Like ten thousand little difficult things all piling up on top of each other?

May was that kind of month.

The thing is, I gave myself a little challenge.  I took time to find my favorite thing about each day and document it via Instagram.  It helped me see past the tough things, and live thankfully in the happy ones.  
The happy is now what I remember.
I think I need to do this every month.
Taco Tuesday at the in-laws.  April.  Finishing a project.
Star Wars Day.  My marathoner.  Talent show.  My boys.  Small friends.  Pager love.
Pool parties.  Moms & Muffins.  My mama.  Them.  His mama.  Nancy Drew.
Treat yo'self night.  More small friends.  School musical.  PW potluck.  Eight.  Starving baby.
Beach curls.  Magic moose.  Much Ado About You planners.  Open house.  Dave & Jess.  Sisters.
Baby Supertones. Wild animals.  Appreciating teachers.  Feeding people.

The end.
May really was my fave.  Because May was pretty rad.

Now on to June...

Etsy's best part two

Tagged.  But not the normal type of tag.  For this weeks' nominated favorites I wanted to share some fun "flair" for your gift giving needs.

Go fish over at Lemon Tree Studio.  I have been eyeing this fabric for a while... fun to see it used in such a creative way.  If only I could sew circles so beautifully.

Etsy's best part one

A big thanks to all of your nominations for your favorite Etsy items and shops.  I loved discovering new sellers and found so many new things to heart.  I will be featuring shops every Friday so be on the lookout for some Etsy love.
The winner of the Urban Chiks fat quarter is Bethany of Vermillion Rules.  She sent a bunch of faves, all which I am tempted to spend my precious Paypal account on.
Loveyduds makes these gorgeous and comfy looking baby carriers.  I rocked the Baby Bjorn with Halley and a Hotsling with Lucy, but I have been seeing more and more of this style around lately.  Two of my friends swear by them.  Next time around I just might give one a try.
Some of my best childhood memories are of family camping trips in our VW bus.  I wish my parents never sold it!  I would paint it turquoise and go to the beach in it every day during the summer.  Nettiepete sells gorgeous quilts and for the adventurous crafter kits to make your own like this one.
Raegun has fun and funky clothing for the little ones.  This dress would be so fun on Lucy with it's sassy collar and zebra print.  Perfect for my wild girl.
