I am a dessert girl.  If given a choice, I will always, always, offer to bring a sweet treat.  I have friends who make delicious and beautiful appetizers, veggie trays, and salads, yet I never felt like that was my thing.
Until Erin, the hostess extraordinaire, the girl who makes glorious, complicated, effortless magic in the kitchen had a little party and served us these nuts.
I know.  Nuts.  If I was having a get together and someone offered to bring nuts, I would smile and be gracious, yet be secretly, extremely confused.
After understanding their power, I now would give that person a giant hug and vow my never ending friendship.  Perhaps a BeFri/ StEnds necklace would be involved.

You don't even understand.  I cannot properly explain them.  You just need to make them.
I'm not kidding.

Erin sent each of us home with a little baggie of the salty, rosemary goodness. Arrived home well after midnight, so tired, dreading waking up early the next day, slowly dragged myself upstairs, crawled in bed, and stared at the ceiling.  I knew right then and there that I could not possibly go to sleep knowing that there were uneaten nuts downstairs.
So yes, at one a.m., in pajamas, I snuck down to the kitchen, sat on a bar stool, and finished each last one.  After brushing my teeth.  Which is a big deal.
They are that good.

So with a little Favorite Things gift exchange on the calendar with my home group, I knew what I was going to bring.  I don't need salted caramel cupcakes or crack.  Give me warm nuts.  (Don't giggle.  Don't.)
Thank you Martha.  I know as a blogger (who blogs like never) I am not supposed to like you.  But I sort of still do.  I mean there is your glitter.  And your nuts. (Again.  Don't giggle.)
The food choice was easy.  The favorite things gift was not.  That is until I saw these happy printable tags from the charming Andrea of Knitty Bitties.  How could I not bring my three favorite colors of nail polish?  I mean...  (They are Wicked, Chinchilly, and Turquoise & Caicos.)

So with that I say thank you Erin and Andrea.  You make life pretty great.
I've got a date with some leftover nuts....

Linking up with my favorite Jessica.

It's my birthday week and I would love to celebrate with a sale in the shop.
40% of all printables with the code HAPPYBDAY good until midnight PST 12/11.

They are an easy and affordable gift, just add a cute frame, clip it to a clipboard, or tack it to some old boards...

All are sized as 8x10, but just for research sake, I sent one to Costco (when I have them print I always make sure to check the Autocorrect OFF button- it helps the colors from getting to crazy) and for just $5.99 they printed this happy 16x20 with surprisingly clear and accurate colors.  I can't say for certain that it will work with every print, but it might be worth a try if you have a whole lot of cheer or wall space to fill.

Shop.  Print.  Give.  Yay!
